Some People Go Through Our Lives To Teach Us Not To Be Like Them

Some people go through our lives to teach us not to be like them. Because as Oscar Wilde said, “Some people take happiness wherever they go; others leave it when they leave”. Still, we get a benefit from any relationship, even if it is the result of discomfort, because our experiences bring us the possibility of managing our feelings in another way.

Viktor Frankl wrote that life is potentially meaningful because we can extract meaning even from suffering. So, even if we sometimes don’t find the meaning of certain negative relationships, the fact is that they bring us a view of the world that we didn’t know about.

Our principles are reinforced thanks to certain experiences

Witnessing injustices and feeling a great sense of unease at the gestures made by certain people helps us to reflect on our principles and thus reinforce our beliefs about what is good and what is bad.

Betrayal, coldness, and arrogance hurt. They hurt with intensity.  Sometimes the most painful thing is to actually get to know those people who have surrounded you for a while. There are people you end up meeting when they really show themselves, when they no longer need you and reflect your true interest.

When this happens, grief makes us rethink our priorities and our own attitudes towards others. That’s why sometimes going through hard times in a relationship makes us better people.

Staying away from conflicting people improves health and soul

When it comes to moving away from those people who harm us, it ‘s good to play with the advantage of anticipation. In other words, take advantage of the fact that your reactions and intentions are increasingly predictable. This allows us to relate in another way, as we will know how to deal with our own surroundings according to our own desire.

In this sense, it is necessary not to give so much importance to what these people do, but to focus attention on what we can learn from what they did, thus helping us to create growth opportunities and work on our own self-esteem and our own strength.

Because in the end, those who wait are disappointed, and expecting everything from someone can bring frustration and submission, making our psychological oxygen disappear, contaminating our own emotional atmosphere and undermining our own worries.

So, keeping perspective will help us to be able to feel a certain indifference and get off this emotional roller coaster, managing to separate our worries and freeing us from insecurities and disproportionate reactions.

The idea is to clear your mind and be able to expose your thoughts and emotions without fear of consequences when the time comes. This will have a result as quick and direct as it can be achieved: our problems will be reduced and we will be able to live in peace.

Life is really short to live in anguish about what everyone around us does or doesn’t do. So the best decision we can make is to distance ourselves from the negativity of some people and get closer to those who make us feel good.
